Memories of Liza at the Waldorf

In January 1968, Liza Minnelli began the first of her annual appearances at the Waldorf.

She did A 10pm set nightly, two shows Fri & Sat (9:30 and 1145pm), and then was off on Sunday. There was a $6 cover on weeknights and $7 cover on weekends. She frequently paid the cover charge for fans who came by.

I would come by often and was always invited up to her dressing suite after the show… Those were the days. The beginning of a 50+ year period of love respect admiration & friendship.
